Welcome to Tara Hall Bed and Breakfast in Dun Laoghaire, South County Dublin.

Tara Hall Bed and Breakfast is located in Sandycove, Dun Laoghaire and is a Regency-style house built in the early 1780.  It is the former residence of Mr William Monk Gibbon, the famous Irish poet and writer and where George Bernard Shaw attended school in 1867.

The location is ideally situated in Sandycove only 9-km from Dublin City Centre and very near the Joyce Tower on the coast.  You will also be near to the DART Station, Dun Laoghaire Harbour, the Ferry Terminal.  Tara Hall is within easy reach of Killiney and Dalkey Village.

Tara Hall Bed and Breakfast offers excellent value accommodation if you are visiting Sandycover or Dun Laoghaire for an occasion or an event or to those working in Dun Laoghaire or visiting family nearby.

Enjoy some Irish history (Monk Gibbon played cards with WB Yeats in the sitting room in Tara Hall.  Monk Gibbon and Yeats were cousins). Lots of Irish History and great Irish hospitality await you in a warm cosy atmosphere.

RECENT REVIEW

"Out of Dublin, but by the Sea"
It was on a 500 meters from the coast and not a long suburban train trip into Dublin. The owners have a lot of useful information.
